The Class 2A Postseason district assignments were announced recently for the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center baseball team.

For ACGC baseball they will possibly matchup with Van Meter, Woodward-Granger, West Central Valley, Greene County or Panorama. Coach Taylor Morris says this will be a difficult challenge but anything can happen in postseason play.

“Worst case scenario is we’re trying to fight for that three seed and then be able to host a game like we did last year. And obviously but then maybe the next one is going to be tough because they’re always one of the top programs in the state and have been for several years now. But you never know. And again, baseball. Baseball is a crazy game. You never know. You get one game, you get one shot. If a team’s not on and you’re playing the best baseball, you just never know. And that’s the best part about baseball.”

The Chargers will get another chance to improve their conference record with a double header against Pleasantville tomorrow and game 1 will be aired live here on Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network.
