Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center baseball and softball will take the field today for a double header against Earlham at home.
ACGC softball is looking to play their home opener and second game after Tuesdays game against Ogden was postponed for an umpire shortage. The Lady Chargers will start Emerson Van Meter and Sophia Rouse on the mound in both games today. Van Meter is looking to pick up where she left off against Melcher-Dallas pitching 6 2/3 innings allowing 1 earned run with 12 strike outs. Earlham will travel to Guthrie Center already playing five games with a record of 1 win and 4 losses.
ACGC baseball will looking to add to their winning column against the Cardinals today. The Chargers are on a three game losing streak with two losses to Des Moines Christian and Odgen. The bats have not been able to get going for the Chargers in the last 3 games the team average sits at .240 with only 6 runs scored. The first pitch with be a 5pm at Charger baseball stadium.
