The wait is nearly over for people to have the chance to get out to the weekly Summer Farmers Markets with the Perry Chamber of Commerce.

The Summer Farmers Market with the Perry Chamber of Commerce will officially begin this Thursday and it will run from 4-7 p.m. every Thursday until September 29th. Chamber Summer Intern Hannah Peterson talks about some of the events people can look forward to this year.

“The third Thursday of the month we are doing special events, so in June we have our health and wellness night. On the first Thursday of the month we will be adding some food trucks and then the second and fourth Thursdays of the month we will be giving away free produce from the library and then if there is a fifth Thursday we will have some sort of kids activity planned.”

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio there will be plenty going on throughout the farmers markets. Pasutti encourages people to come out to the market and see what it’s all about. Pasutti says Handlebar Happy Hour at La Poste may shift over to Soumas Court on Thursday as well.

“Just another great activity on Thursday night with lots going on so I like to say that Downtown Perry is a great place to be on Thursdays especially.”
