adm-7

In one of the most thrilling matches across the state on Thursday night, the ADM Tigers girls soccer team fell just short of making it to state, losing the the Lewis Central Titans in double overtime by the score of 1-0. ADM ends their season at 10-8 while Lewis Central improves to 15-5.

Both teams were able to get chances throughout the night, but neither could get the key finish. The Tigers were able to put one in the back of the net in the 2nd half, but an offsides call negated the goal. In the 93rd minute of double overtime, Lewis Central was able to get a goal from Maya Humlicek, as the Titans were able to book a ticket to state.

Goalkeeper Dani Person was able to be sharp throughout the night, as she and the ADM defense kept Lewis Central below their season average, but unfortunately the solid effort isn’t enough.

For ADM, they lose five seniors off of their roster due to graduation, but will be returning a lot of key components for a team that should be strong again next year, as they hope to put together a good offseason.
