Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County is getting ready to kick-off its summer concert series tomorrow.
The initial concert will feature Jefferson native Michael Dowd, whose music style ranges from grunge, to punk, reggae, psyche rock and country. The other musician is Von Kettlesen from Carroll who plays a variety of well-known songs on guitar. Thomas Jefferson Gardens President Jean Walker says the concert coincides with tomorrow’s Bike Ride Around Greene County (BRAG) event. She talks about why they are hosting several concerts throughout the summer.
“Greene County is growing and we’re trying to get more people downtown to see the bell tower, to see RVP(~1875), the alleys and different places. This is one way of getting people together, to sit around and enjoy music.”
Tomorrow’s concert begins at 3pm at the gardens and attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to the free performances.
