Last night’s baseball and softball games against the Ogden Bulldogs were postponed for the West Central Valley Wildcats, watch for updates on make-up games in the future.
Monday night was a great start to the week for the Wildcats, as both the softball and baseball teams brought home wins against the Panorama Panthers. The softball team dominated in their game with a 12-2 win, and the baseball team grabbed an early lead for an 11-9 win themselves.
The soccer team, as stated previously, came out on top of the St. Albert Falcons with a 3-0 win, and advanced to the final game of the Substate Region 8 bracket. Mitchell Dickson led the way in goals, scoring all 3, with 5 shots on goal for a shooting percentage of 37.5%. Fellow senior Matt Gerling led in assists with 2, and 1 shot on goal. And goalie Nate Gerling had 7 saves and 0 goals allowed for a save percentage of 100%. For team stats, the Wildcats had 14 corner kicks, 7 shots on goal, and a shot on goal percentage of 42.9%.
The Wildcats will take on the Treynor Cardinals tonight, for the chance to move on into the state tournament.
