Dallas Center – Grimes girls soccer was on the field on Tuesday night with hopes of a good start in the postseason, and they were able to find it against the Toreadors of Boone, as they were able to find no problems on a rainy night, winning by the score of 10-0. The Mustangs keep their undefeated record in tact at 18-0, while Boone ends their season at 6-12.
Avery Korsching was able to have a career night for the Mustangs, as she was able to tally six goals on the night, scoring in a wide variety of ways. The six goals are tied for a school record. The Mustangs were able to tally five goals in the first 10 minutes, and never looked back as they were able to play offense for the majority of the night.
DCG will be hosting the regional finals tomorrow night when they host the Wildcats of Carlisle. The match will begin at 6 o’clock, as the Mustangs are one game away from state next week.
