With the June Primary Election coming up, Raccoon Valley Radio is hosting a couple of programs with some of the contested local races.

The Special Edition Meet the Candidates In Depth News Magazine will feature eight Republican candidates running for four Guthrie County Supervisor seats. In District One, incumbents Clifford Carney and Jerome Kuster are running against each other. District Two has two new Republican challengers with Clinton Deardorff and Brian Johnson. The Republicans running for District Three include Maggie Armstrong and William Halling. Finally, in District Four, the Republican candidates are JT Herron and Steve Smith.

Dallas County has three contested primary elections. Iowa House District 28 sees two Democrats running for the nomination that includes Sonya Heitshusen and Tom Walton. Two Republicans are running for County Treasurer, which includes incumbent Mitch Hambleton and challenger Josh Chapman. Finally, the Republican candidates running for Dallas County Recorder include ReNae Arnold and Peggy Ann Sieleman. 

The Guthrie County program will air on KKRF 107.9FM and KDLS 1310AM and 99.7FM on Monday, May 30th at 1pm and right after the PM Sports Magazine. Then, the Dallas County program will also be on the air on KKRF and KDLS on Wednesday, June 1st at 1pm and 6pm. 

As for Greene County, there are three Republicans running for Supervisor District Three, including Cassie George, James Hedges and Dan Benitz, which are running this week as Greene County Let’s Talk programs.
