Caregivers are invited to a special recognition event later this week in Jefferson.

Elderbridge Agency and Aging is teaming up with Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jefferson and RSVP 55+ Volunteer Program to host a Drive-Through Caregiver Appreciation event Thursday at Regency in Jefferson. Elderbridge Service Specialist and Family Caregiver Team Lead Emily Winker says from 9-11am on Thursday, caregivers can receive a gift basket with some “self care” products and other items, along with chances to win other prizes. 

Winker points out this event is dedicated to the caregivers that take care of loved ones and she explains why these individuals deserved to be recognized with a special event.

“So, it sounds a bit extreme but family caregivers truly make the world go ‘round. Without them many people wouldn’t be able to live safe, healthy and happy lives like they do.”

Thursday’s event is open to any and all caregivers while supplies last for the gift baskets and no pre-registration is necessary.
