A opportunity to go to state is on the line today for the ADM boys and girls track and field teams, as both teams will be running in the district track and field meet in Adel. If a runner or team meets the requirements for placement, they will be moving to the state track and field meet which begins next Thursday

For the Tigers, they will be looking to put together a strong performance today as they have had a bunch of standout athletes and relay teams throughout the season. The other schools that will be represented include Ballard, Boone, Clarke, Dallas Center – Grimes, Perry, Saydel, and Winterset.

Both teams are coming off of good performances at conference last week, the girls finishing 1st and the boys finishing 2nd. Weather conditions are projected to be warm and windy today, which could be a factor.

The start time for the event will be at 4 pm, as the Tigers will be looking for great success, and hopefully sending plenty of athletes and teams to state by the end of the day.
