Adair County Extension and Outreach has already started programs in preparation for the county fair. 

Youth Coordinator Valerie Jaehrling says they will have horse practices every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm at the county fair grounds leading up to the fair and all youth and 4-H’ers are welcome to attend. She strongly recommends beginners to come and learn.

“It helps acclimate the horses to the fairgrounds and familiarize them with the area. It helps the kids kind of figure out what they need to be practicing with their horses for the different county fair classes.”

This program started on May 4th and will end mid July.
