The Panorama Panthers girls and boys track and field teams took part in their last home meet of the season when they took part in the Panorama Invitational this past Thursday.

The Panthers girls were able to put up another solid performance for their last home track meet of the season coming in second place with a team score of 92. Van Meter was the overall meet winner on the girls side with a team score of 167.

The Panthers girls picked up a number of quality finishes as Jaidyn Sellers took first in the 200m dash with a time of 25.49. Jazmyn Sellers took first place in the discus with a distance of 101 feet 6 inches and Arilyan Steenblock took second place with a distance of 100 feet 3 inches. The Panthers girls also took first place in multiple with the 4x100m and 4x200m relays as well as the 800 sprint medley relay.

The Panthers boys were able to net 39 total team points on the meet with Hunter Pauley coming in first in the long jump with a distance of 19 feet 3.5 inches and fellow Panther Nile Lindstrom came in fourth with a distance of 18 feet 9 inches. Jacob Walker came in sixth in the discus with a distance of 117 feet 11 inches and Cooper Andersen came in eighth in the shot put with a distance of 38 feet 9 inches.

The Panthers boys track and field team will head back out again on Monday at 5 p.m. for a meet at AC/GC and the girls head to Martensdale St. Mary’s beginning at 4:30 p.m.
