The Guthrie Center School Board is planning to add onto the current security camera system they already have.
Superintendent Dennis McClain says the Board tabled getting new security cameras for the elementary school as they wait for the bids for the high school system. McClain explains they are looking to have better vantage points to the elementary school playground and high school parking lot. He states this recommendation provides staff with better visibility to supervise.
“We have noticed it when we have looked into certain things and felt like we didn’t have the best view and if we had a camera here we would have had a much better view, and some of that you figure out as you go.”
The item will be readdressed at their next Board meeting on May 16th.
