The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board recently approved the 2022-23 settlement for classified and administrative staff which both included wage increases.
The ADM School Board approved an 11.60-percent total package increase for classified staff with a $1,000 retention bonus which also included a variable wage only increase to some staff including a 12.18-percent for custodial staff and 14.78-percent for child care among other classified staff. Superintendent Greg Dufoe talks about the varying wage increases.
“It’s a little different than typical, oftentimes we have a flat percentage increase for our classified people across all pools. This year it was important for us to look at the different sectors of our classified employees based on comparability and demand. Our custodial staff has never been fully staffed this year and associates is another area that we just are not finding people to serve in those roles.”
Dufoe tells Raccoon Valley Radio when it comes to the 2022-23 settlement for the administrative staff it came with a 4-percent salary increase for the 2022-23 school year which Dufoe says while it was less than the classified staff at 4-percent that’s normal and the 4-percent is still a very good number.
“The Board is very supportive of our leadership team in addition to their support for classified and certified people.”
The 2022-23 settlements for the classified and administrative staff in the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District were approved at the Board meeting on April 11th.
