K9 Ally
The Stuart Police Department received a generous donation for a program they recently started.
The K9 program was rebooted in January to help prevent drugs from coming into the community along with tracking down people that are lost. K9 Ally will receive a bullet and stab protective vest from the non-profit organization called Vested Interest in K9s. The charitable organization’s mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement or related agencies throughout the United States. The vest will potentially add lifesaving body armor for K9 Ally and is made in the US, custom-fitted, and certified. The vest is estimated to cost between $1,700 and $2,200.
