As the June Primary election is approaching there has been a change to a candidate running for a Guthrie County Supervisor District.
District 1 Supervisor incumbent Jack Lloyd says that his name will be on the ballot but asks that voters from Guthrie County not vote for him for re-election. Lloyd tells Raccoon Valley Radio this decision was sudden and there were frustrating things going on with the candidacy.
“I guess I had two and a half years left on my last term that I haven’t even got completed yet and I didn’t think it was fair that I should have to run for re-election again.”
Lloyd was against the redistricting map because it put three supervisor incumbents in the same district. He states that he did not plan on running for re-election after his current term ends.
