Wednesday, April 27th

1:11pm: A Traffic Stop near Grimmell and Mahlon Streets resulted in Virgina Armstrong being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1:19pm: An officer spoke to a construction worker in the 300 Block of East Monroe Street. The subject had his vehicle and trailer parked on the street, facing the wrong direction. The officer advised the subject of the issue, and he moved the vehicle.

1:31pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted in Allen Robson of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:41pm: A male subject flagged an officer down in the 100 Block of West Vest Street and advised the officer his dog was loose in the area. The officer did not locate the animal.

3:45pm: Taylor Anglemyer reported a Stray Dog in the 500 Block of East Russell Street. A subject called a few minutes later and advised he caught the dog in the 500 Block of East Monroe Street. The officer picked up the animal and knew it to be the dog from the previous entry. He returned the animal to the owner.

5:14pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. A Key Holder arrived, and the facility was searched. All was fine.

5:06pm: Tony Sparks reported his juvenile son was being bullied at school. The officer is investigating and working with the school on the issue.

5:30pm: The Jefferson Police Department participated in a County Wide Disaster Drill in the 1500 Block of North Mulberry Street.

8:12pm: A Carroll County Deputy requested assistance from an officer in looking for a vehicle at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The vehicle was not located by the officer.

9:29pm: Kyle Burggraff requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 300 Block of North West Street. Officers spoke to the subject, who was fine.

11:52pm: An officer investigated an accident in the 500 Block of North Chestnut Street. A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Trent Ganoe of Ogden and owned by Linda Gustoff of Scranton, was pulling a trailer southbound in the 500 Block of North Chestnut Street. As Ganoe attempted to pull into a private drive, he struck a parked vehicle with the trailer. The 2015 Chevrolet Impala was owned by Jolene Anderson of Jefferson. The trailer received $1000.00 in damages, while the Anderson vehicle had a reported $3000.00 in damages.
