Do you want to be the first to know about what’s happening and coming up in the City of Perry? Besides getting all your local news and information here on the Raccoon Valley Radio network, the City also puts out updates through various mediums.
City Administrator Butch Niebuhr recommends residents sign up for their email or text message alert lists.
“Anything to do with closings and when we get into the asphalt work this summer we’re going to be a lot of construction going on in Perry this summer. So I would recommend that people talk to Susie Moorhead or Corey Eastman at City Hall to get put on the email list or the text alert. So that they know what’s happening in their neighborhood and around their neighborhood that could affect their everyday driving habit” says Niebuhr.
Niebuhr says those are just two ways to get the information you need to know, so there’s no excuse to say you weren’t informed.
“The website is a very good place, so check that and listen to KDLS to know what’s going on because they’ll get those alerts. But if you want it right in your pocket make sure you sign up for those text alerts or sign up for those email alerts. Be informed. Be a citizen that’s informed and knows what’s going on especially this summer when we think we’re going to have a lot going on.”
To join the text message list you can simply test H484 to 36000. We’ll include more information on our website, RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
