The West Central Valley Wildcats are looking at another full week of sports competition, as things get started off fast on Monday night. The girls soccer team is set to host the Van Meter Bulldogs, while the boys and girls golf teams head on the road for competition. The track and field teams will also be on the road, as the girls head to Des Moines Christian, and the boys travel to Woodbine.
Tuesday both golf teams will travel to Madrid to take on the Tigers, with the Van Meter Bulldogs and Woodward-Granger Hawks also competing. Both track teams will be on the road again, as they head to Woodward-Granger for the Hawk Relays. And finishing off the night, the boys soccer team will host the Des Moines Christian Lions, for what looks to be an exciting match between the two teams. The Lions are 5-2, while the Wildcats are 8-1.
Thursday is the start of the Drake Relays for the High School division, watch later in the week for more on who is competing for the Wildcats. Also on Thursday, both soccer teams host the Panorama Panthers. On Friday, the golf teams host a coed quad meet, with the Exira-Elkhorn Kimballton Spartans, CAM Cougars, and Woodward-Granger Hawks set to compete.
Saturday will see the soccer teams both with games. The girls will start things off against the Greene County Rams at 10AM, while the boys will play against the Kuemper Catholic Knights starting at 9AM, with a game against the Van Meter Bulldogs later in the day.
