The list of Iowa high school track & field athletes that have qualified for next week’s Drake Relays in Des Moines will be released today. The Relays holds high school competition in 17 of 19 events for both girls and boys and athletes need to qualify by their performances through April 21.

Greene County has Jackson Morton automatically qualified in the boys’ 110 meter high hurdles at 14.82 seconds, which is below the Blue Standard of 14.90. There are 32 individuals in the preliminaries of the 110 highs. The Rams are hoping to also qualify the 4 x 100 meter relay with a time of 44.87 seconds. The fastest 96 qualify and according to statistical website Varsity Bound late Friday afternoon, the Rams were tied for 81st place.

The Greene County girls have one event with a chance to qualify and that’s the 4 x 100. Varsity Bound showed the Rams 91st at 52.73 seconds.

The official list will show all qualifiers statewide.
