The general public will have a chance to see some talented West Central Valley High School students perform this weekend.
The performance will be a musical that is within a comedy called “The Drowsy Chaperone,” which is set in the 1920’s and pays homage to the American musicals of the jazz ages. The plot centers around Janiet Van De Graaff, a showgirl who plans to give up her career to marry an oil tycoon, Robert Martin. Senior Abbi Balsmeier says they have been working on this musical since the beginning of March and they are eager to perform.
“My favorite part will definitely be like finally being able to put it on in front of a crowd because we put on all this work and it’s fun to see it finally pay off.”
Show times will be 7pm tomorrow and Saturday at the West Central Valley High School Auditorium for $6 per ticket and those can be purchased at the door.
