An ongoing program series will continue in Perry and this month the focus will be on the history of education.
Hometown Heritage at the Carnegie Library Museum will be hosting the second program in the Reawakening History By Telling Our Own Stories series beginning at 6 p.m. April 26th at Perry High School. Library Director Mary Murphy talks about the upcoming program.
“On April 26th, we will have Reawakening History by Telling Our Own Stories focusing on education and it’s going to be at the Perry High School and if you haven’t seen the history corridor that is in the Perry High School, it is something. It is worthy of a museum. We are going to have a panel discussion with teachers, past teachers and present teachers and possibly some students about education in Perry and stories of education in Perry.”
The program presents Perry stories on how living in a small, Midwestern Iowa town influences work, family, education, faith and loss.
