The Greene County girls’ golf team is scheduled to play today at the Ames Golf & Country Club vs. 8-0 Gilbert, one of Iowa’s strongest 3A teams. Coach Josh Carlson’s Rams are 0-2 and have struggled with numbers of girls out for the sport, as well as much in the way of experience.

Paton-Churdan has its first coed track & field meet of the season. It’s the CAM (Anita) Relays hosted at Atlantic High School on the all-weather facility there. Jen Redenius and Joe Towers co-coach the Rockets. Coach Towers told Raccoon Valley Radio that some top notch programs will be at the CAM meet in Atlantic including Madrid, ACGC, and Panorama. The weather is expected to warm up later in the week when the P-C girls and boys go to Stuart for the West Central Valley Coed Meet.
