The Adel-Desoto-Minburn School Board approved a 2022-23 settlement for classified and administrative staff at their regular meeting this past Monday.
The Board approved the settlement for classified staff which includes an 11.60-percent total package increase that includes a $1,000 retention incentive, paid in two installments of $500 and the highest wage only increase for classified staff was child care at 14.78-percent. For administrative staff the Board approved a 4-percent salary increase for the 2022-23 school year.
The Board then approved the 2022-23 certified budget as published, 2022-23 staffing additions including an increase in the DeSoto Intermediate Computer Science vacancy and two high school football assistant coaches and a facility master planning proposal.
Also, the Board approved May 9th as the date for multiple public hearings including the conveyance of real property and a 2021-22 certified budget amendment. The Board then approved a resolution to appoint the paying agent, bond registrar and transfer agent agreement, the tax exemption certificate, the issuance of bonds, and continuing the disclosure certificate.
Finally, the Board approved the district’s Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP) and the collective bargaining agreement with the ADM Education Association which includes an overall 6-percent wage increase.
