3:49am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. A Key Holder met the officer and walked through the facility. All was fine.

2:26pm: Kayla Promes reported she had parked at 106 West Washington Street. When she opened her door, the extreme wind threw the door open, striking the parked vehicle beside her. Promes’ 2017 Chevrolet Equinox was not damaged. A 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned by Mary Ann Wright of Panora, suffered a reported $1500.00 in damages.

3:48pm: Mike Miller reported a tree had fallen, due to high winds at Russell Park. The Public Works Director was made aware of the issue.

6:00pm: Brandon Gustoff reported a downed power line in the 600 Block of South Maple Street. Alliant Energy was contacted to make repairs.

6:36pm: A Traffic Stop in the 300 Block of South Chestnut resulted in Melinda Gallagher of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:49pm:, A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted In Brent Gerzema of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:11pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted in James Currier of Churdan being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:28pm: A caller advised of an Open RV Door at 1903 North Mulberry Street. The officer secured the RV.

9:36pm: David Sayre reported finding multiple empty alcohol bottles near a shed at 804 South Elm Street. The officer advised he would be provided extra patrol in the area.

10:27pm: Lance Dzuris reported a male subject hanging around his truck while parked at 305 East Lincoln Way Street. Extra Patol will be given to the area.

11:46pm: An officer located a subject parked at Daubendiek Park. He advised the subject that the park was closed, and they went on their way.
