Spring sports are still in session as of right now but Baseball is coming right around the corner for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center and they’re finding ways to prep for the upcoming season.
Head Baseball Coach Taylor Morris says with his baseball players currently playing other sports they have been practicing a couple days a week so far. Morris explains they have seen between eight to 11 players at every practice which he says will be beneficial for the longevity of the season.
“And that’s one of the things that we’ve we’ve really done well this year is getting some guys there and getting we have some arms built up now. So once our season starts, we’ll be able to throw at a good clip there in terms of pitch count wise and and trust that their arms are in shape. They’ve been pretty consistent with showing up and doing the stuff there. But hitting are more things are doing going well.”
Morris explains that having great communication will spring coaches will allow them to find times to have full team practices. AC/GC’s home baseball opener will be on May 16th versus Woodward-Granger.
