Adel-DeSoto-Minburn track and field was originally supposed to participate in a track and field meet on Tuesday night at Pella Christian and were able to get the meet in before severe weather.
The boys were able to get a big night out of Brevin Doll, as he was able to grab a first place finish in the 100 meter at 11.10 seconds and 200 meter dash at 22.66 seconds. Cooper Greenslade finishes first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10 minutes 5 seconds, and Vince Benetti is first in the high jump at 6 feet flat. Benetti also finished first in the shot put at 50-04. The 4×100 meter relay team and the 4×200 meter relay teams were both able to finish first, and the 4×400 meter relay team was also able to accomplish the same thing. Both 800 and 1600 medley relay teams were able to finish first.
On the girls side, Geneva Timmerman was able to get first with a time of 2 minutes 20 seconds in the 800 meter run, and in the 1500 meter run 4 minutes and 51 seconds. Both of the ADM teams are coming off of really good meets last Saturday, with the girls winning the 8 team race at the Roland-Story relays, and the boys were able to put together a very strong 2nd place finish at the Hollingsworth Relays over in Iowa City. Both teams continue to find some terrific times throughout their season, and though opportunities have been limited at times due to weather, the results have continued to be strong for both of the teams.
For ADM teams, the boys will be having their next meet at home tomorrow when they welcome multiple schools while the girls will be making the trip to Ogden to face more good competition. Both meets are expected to start at 4:30 with conditions cooler, but hopefully dry throughout the day.
