Adair County Health System has announced that it has a popular program returning to the local area.
The “Great Starts” program allows all new mothers in Adair County, including those in Stuart, to receive a free home visit from a trained nurse provider. During the in-home visits, “Great Starts” nurses will help new moms “build self-confidence as a parent through reassurance and education.”
Along with the visit, referrals will be given to other programs in the Adair County Health System.
Kathleen Nelson, Nurse Practitioner of Adair County Health System, has started scheduling home and clinic visits for Great Starts. Any new mothers or soon-to-be new mothers interested in scheduling an appointment through the program can call her at 641-745-4300.
