The West Central Valley boys soccer team has split the games they’ve had so far this week. They put up a good fight Monday night against the AHSTW Vikings, but ultimately fell short in a 3-2 loss. Sophomore goalie Nate Gerling did a tremendous job of keeping the Vikings in check, with 12 saves, and only allowing 2 of the 3 points scored against the Wildcats.
The game against the Ballard Bombers Tuesday night was a different story though, as the Wildcats rolled through the Ballard Bombers. The last time these two teams played against each other was back in 2017, when the Bombers beat the Wildcats, but again, that wasn’t the case Tuesday night. The Wildcats went on a march in the first period, to take a 5-0 lead, then continued this dominance in the second period to win the game 10-0.
The boys continue their week tonight, as they head down to Creston to face off against the Panthers.
