The Panorama Panthers girls and boys golf teams got their first tee shots of the season earlier this week and their first meet of the season went well.

For Panthers girls and boys golf teams they headed out to Winterset to the Lakeview Country Club for a West Central Activities Conference meet featuring the Van Meter Bulldogs, Interstate 35 Roadrunners and Earlham Cardinals.

The Panthers girls golf team came in third with a team score of 259 behind the 248 from Earlham and the 223 from Van Meter. Rounding out the top performances was Gabby Welberg with a 56 just one stroke behind Van Meter’s Kaylie Golwitzer at 55.

The Panthers boys golf team also got out on the course in Winterset earlier this week and came away with a second place team score of 187.

This won’t be on the only regular season action out on the course this week as the Panthers girls golf team will get back out on the course again in the coming week at 4 p.m. April 7th in Adel. They will get to play on the scenic River Valley Golf Course.

The Panthers boys also have another meet this week as they will finish the week out with a varsity and junior varsity invitational against CAM that will be taking place in Anita on April 9th and that will begin at 9 a.m.
