Learning more about working from home can be beneficial as more businesses look toward this model of working.

Dallas County Extension is offering a Remote Work Certificate Course that can help give participants the skills and tools they would need to make a change from on-site working to a virtual career or freelance work. 

The cost for the program is $249 and those wanting to register for the course that will run from May 2nd-27th will need to register for the program by April 27th at 1 p.m.. The workshops run from 2-3 p.m. or 7-8 p.m May 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.

Those attending will need internet access, a web camera and microphone, and basic computer proficiency. The course takes roughly 30 hours to complete or six to eight hours per week. The course consists of nine self-paced modules and four workshops.
