Paton-Churdan had its girls track & field team at Monday’s Richard Ryan Relays in Gowrie hosted by Southeast Valley. The Rockets scored 10 points and were ninth among nine teams in Class B, which was won by Newell-Fonda with 174 points. Carroll won Class A with 150 points.
The Rockets placed in the top six in four events. Taryn Baugh was third in the long jump at 11′ 2-3/4″ for the highest P-C placing. Kayla Sturm was fifth in the discus throw at 55′ 3″ and sixth in the shot put at 20′ 2″. The Rockets were sixth in the sprint medley relay in 2:28.71.
The P-C girls and boys are scheduled to compete Friday at East Sac County.
