Midwest Partnership Executive Director Chad Schreck has been selected as the Master of Ceremonies for the annual dinner of another area economic development organization.
Western Iowa Advantage, an eight county development group incorporating the likes of Greene and Guthrie Counties, has tabbed Schreck to be the emcee for its 2014 annual dinner on Tuesday, April 8th, and Schreck says he’s excited to highlight area businesses that are thriving in the western portion of our state.
The dinner is being held at the Carrollton Centre, located at 1730 Highway 71 in Carroll. The cost to attend is $20 per plate, but Schreck explains why he believes making the trek from Guthrie County would be worth area residents’ time.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to meet each other, number one, because a lot of times we’ve got people that are in contiguous counties that have very similar interests and a lot of the same needs but they don’t know each other. If they did, they might be able to make some good partnerships happen. We don’t need to reinvent things all the time if we can work together and help share some of our best practices. These dinners are just a nice way to highlight those opportunities (because) they get people in a room together bouncing ideas off of each other as they try to make their communities the best places they can be.”
If any area residents would like to attend Western Iowa Advantage’s annual dinner, RSVPs are due by March 28th. To reserve a seat or if you have questions, contact Midwest Partnership at 515-523-1262.
