Both the Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams are prepping for their first regular season action next week.
The Panthers girls and boys soccer teams will get their first shot at regular season action when they take the field next Thursday when they take on East Sac County. According to the West Central Activities Conference page the boys will get their game at home in Panora while the girls will be traveling for their game.
Last year’s season for the Panthers girls saw them have a pretty successful season while being able to make a run in the postseason. The Panthers girls went 14-7 overall on the season and made it all the way to the Class 2A Region 2 Semifinal game where they fell to Glenwood 7-0.
The Panthers girls did lose a few seniors from the team last year but should be returning multiple players from last year who played in double digit games throughout the year last year. The Panthers girls soccer team will look to utilize some of that experience out on the field this year as they look to improve their overall record.
The Panorama Panthers boys soccer team had a rough season last year where they finished with an overall record of 3-15 and losing in the Class 1A Substate 7 first round to Van Meter. The Panthers boys will also look to be returning some players to the roster this year.
