For those who may go on to pursue a career in healthcare, time is running out to apply for a local scholarship opportunity.  

For high school seniors or college level students who are entering their final year of curriculum in a health-related field the deadline to apply for the Dallas County Hospital Foundation Scholarship is April 8th. The scholarship awards range from $500-$1,000. 

High school students must reside or attend high school in Dallas County and those selected will need to provide proof of enrollment or registration to the college for the finalization of the scholarship. 

Some things taken into consideration for application include a minimum of 20 volunteer hours, student’s extra activities and students prior involvement in career selection among multiple other factors.
