In cold, windy conditions the Paton-Churdan boys began the 2022 track & field season at the Audubon Early Bird Meet on Tuesday. The Rockets were last among the 13 teams in the field with one point. Senior Bradyn Smith was eighth in the shot put with a best toss of 38′ 8″ for the lone P-C point. Underwood scored 176 points to win the team title. P-C co-coaches Jen Redenius and Joe Towers saw their seven-man squad get the season underway in less than ideal conditions.

The P-C girls are scheduled to begin their season tomorrow in Audubon, weather permitting.
