track-and-field

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center has begun outdoor track and field activities but getting nice has been difficult.

Head Coach Cody Matthewson says they use any opportunity to get outside and run on the track.

“if the weather is warm enough and there’s snow on the ground, we’re going to go outside and we’re going to run. You know, it’s easy to put clothes on and dress up warm and be able to go out there. But we you know, we try to do the best we can to stay things from not getting monotonous, because when you’re inside running the halls over and over and over again, that can be very redundant and get boring. So we get outside and we do a lot of that stuff and we try to do and change the environment for our kids to stay hungry and enjoy practice every single day they show up.”

AC/GC next girls and boys track and field meet will be at Greene County High School on March 28th.
