The Greene County School Board will meet in special session tomorrow night.

The Board will review superintendent candidates in a closed session. The Board will then take action in open session and announce its finalists. The meeting will end with the Board finalizing the interview process.

At the regular board meeting on March 9th, it was mentioned that 23 candidates applied for the position and the plan is for the Board to narrow it to 2-4 finalists. The consulting firm the Board hired, McPhearson and Jacobson, wants to push the timeline up by one week to get better selection of who the Board wants as its new superintendent. The finalists will be interviewed the following week with a conditional offer made by March 31st. It was also mentioned at the March 9th meeting that there were 10-12 open superintendent positions across the state.

Tomorrow’s special meeting will begin at 5:15pm in the district boardroom at the middle school.
