
Mass of the Christian Burial for Albert “Al” Frank Anthofer, 86, of Carroll, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll with military honors conducted by the Carroll American Legion. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5 p.m. on Monday where there will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 5:30 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday where visitation will resume until 10:15 a.m.

Al is survived by his wife, LaVonne of 56 years of Carroll; his three children and their families: Mark Anthofer of Kansas City, MO; Karen Sommer (Jim) of De Soto, KS, Brian “Butch” Anthofer of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren: Taylor, Riley, Colby, and Laney; two step-grandchildren: Nakita Dixon (Dylan) and their children Koa and Enika, and Derek Sommer; four sisters: Teresa Linsheid (Allan) of Mesa, AZ, Irene Scott of Coon Rapids, Betty Hatton (George) of Elk River, MN, and Joyce Schmidt (Ken) of Juneau, WI; a sister-in-law, Rita Anthofer of Coon Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
