Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center’s Boys Track and Field team has a lot of talent and experience returning for the 2022 season.

Head Coach Cody Matthewson says they only had two graduating seniors so he is excited to accomplish a lot this season. Matthewson tells Raccoon Valley Radio he hopes his team can perform well at the largest events.

“You know, as we progress into the last couple of weeks here and three weeks into practice and had an indoor meet, you know, we’re pretty happy with where we are right now. The biggest thing for us this year is the ability to stay healthy and basically trying to make sure that we perform well.”

AC/GC boys track had a many podium placements at the indoor meet in Ames that include Trevin Suhr finishing first in the 1600 meter, Austin Kunkle, Cayden Jensen, Charlie Crawford and Trevin Suhr finished second in the distance medley and Austin Kunkle placed third in the 4×100.
