WCV Boys Soccer Coach Jon Boss joined me on the Wahl McAtee Tire and Service Center Guthrie County PM Sports Page. Here’s what he had to say about 2022-23 season.

One of the most interesting stories of last season was the youth of the team. The Wildcats had a large amount of varsity players that were freshmen and sophomores. Despite being young, WCV still has a lot of experience. Coach Boss said this about the team. “I definitely think that. You know it’s something I said before. It’s exciting to return a large portion of our team. Obviously we lost some of those seniors, but we brought back pretty much the same amount of players.”

Coach Boss would continue, “This group is very hungry to get after it. And like you mentioned, I think it is a motivator for those kids that are returning. To be that close even in just their first or second year of playing. To be that close to state. So, it was a great experience.”

Coach Boss and the Wildcats will kick off the season on March 25th. It’ll be at Atlantic with the game kicking off at 5pm.
