clue-the-musical-2

The Community Players of Greene County are bringing back a performance that was supposed to be done two years ago.

“Clue: The Musical” is based on the board game by Parker Brothers. The musical is written by Peter DePietro and is directed by Clay Ross. It is the story of six characters who are all suspects of a murder scene and the audience tries to figure out who “done it,” with which weapon and in which of the six rooms.

The cast includes: Alicia Sloan as Mrs. Peacock, Bill Monroe as Professor Plum, Alexis Stevens as Miss Scarlet, Tim Pound as Colonel Mustard, Darren Jackson as Mrs. White, Chad Stevens as Mr. Green, Linda Nichols as the detective and David Michael of Ames as Mr. Boddy. Alexis Stevens says because she’s worked with the majority of the cast before, it helps during rehearsals.

“Because you know the personality and you know how the person is going to act, so you can play off of them a little bit. Maybe you don’t have to think about what they’re character might do because you know that person. I think that Clay Ross, who put the Players together and is directing this show, really picked out the right people for the right roles and they really fit our personalities.”

There are three performances at the Greene County High School auditorium this Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are $10 and for Friday’s show, tickets are available at Peoples Bank, Saturday’s show will be at Home State Bank and Sunday’s matinee, tickets can be purchased at Heartland Bank. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
