The Guthrie Center City Council met Monday

The Council set a public hearing on the adoption of a final budget for March 11th and approved Department of Natural Resources fine from the burning of Open Bible Church of $1,500 to be taken out of the Guthrie Center Fire Department general fund.

The Council tabled what to do with the structure on 204 North 2nd Street and a request for the city to pay for trees to be removed for further evaluation. 

The Council discussed in an update on law enforcement about possibly bringing back the Guthrie Center Police Department.
