National FFA Week runs from February 19-26th and as its coming to a close one Guthrie County school has had many events throughout the week.

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center FFA Advisor Jim Calvert says they do a lot of activities during this week and some of those include a pizza night and dodgeball on Monday, blue and gold dress up day on Tuesday,  along with a pancake breakfast on Wednesday. Activities for the rest of this week include  hat day today and a pep rally on Friday. Calvert enjoys this week to highlight FFA. . .

“And important to what we do, do you know, there’s almost, I think, 18,000 (FFA) members in Iowa, but everybody’s going to have to eat some day and, you know, we develop a lot of leadership skills. I think that’s where one organization that we still promote leadership and that we’re people, that we’re going to need that from down the road.”

Calvert says on Friday, depending on the weather, students may ride their tractors to school.
