adm-7

The first year of the Trevor Michelson era is in the books for Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball, and unfortunately for ADM, they were bounced out in their first round game on Monday night against Nevada 82-68. For the Tigers, their season ends at 9-13, but they were able to get some great wins throughout the year, including a road win against the Raccoon River Conference champion Winterset.

A year after losing nearly their entire roster due to graduation and a coaching change as well, ADM took some time to adjust throughout the year, but found their stride into January and early February.

Injuries and illness were a factor for the Tigers by the end of the season, but the effort and energy for the Tigers were there night in and night out. ADM has some players step up throughout the year, as a good junior class of Ryan Conrad, Bennett Holmberg, and Vince Benetti playing some great basketball, and sophomore stars Adam Bryte and Brevin Doll playing huge roles for the Tigers. The two seniors of Sam Hlas and Matt Dufoe were both able to play some great games throughout the year, and both were great leaders this year.

ADM also has a lot of great talent in the wings, with a good JV team this year and a freshmen team that was able to go undefeated and has some good players as well.

For ADM, they are projected to be returning four starters for next year along with many key rotation players as well. It will be an offseason that will be big for this ADM team, as they should have the pieces to field a quality team next winter.
