adm-7

Adel-DeSoto-Minburn girls basketball played in their class 4A region 7 semifinals on Saturday night, and they were able to work very quickly against the Perry Jayettes, using a 16-0 run to start the game to win 66-24.

The Tigers were able to use a press to frustrate the Jayettes attack throughout the night, as ADM speed up the game and were able to play at their pace. They were able to score 37 points in the first half as they lead by 24, and never looked back in a coast to coast victory.

The Tigers were able to get four different players in double figure scoring on the night, as senior Olivia Tollari was able to lead the way with 17 points. For ADM, the 24 points given up was one of their best tallies of the season, and forcing 26 turnovers on the night was key to a good defensive effort.

For the Tigers, they move to the championship game tomorrow night with a trip to the state tournament on the line. They will be taking on Dallas Center – Grimes in Grimes at 7 o’clock tomorrow.
