Another Iowa High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament is in the books and Greene County comes away with a state champion.
Junior Kale Peterson won every match at Wells Fargo Arena on his way to the 120-pound Class 2A State Champion. His final bout ended in a 8-5 decision on Saturday to close his junior campaign undefeated at 17-0.
A runner-up for the Rams was McKinley Robbins at 132-pounds. Robbins reached the championship finals but lost by a 5-3 decision. Robbins won the state title his sophomore year at 120-pounds. He ends this season with a 48-5 record.
