Law enforcement held an event Wednesday at a Guthrie County high school to crack down on traffic violations.
Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School students were told by the Iowa State Patrol and the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office that they have seen enough of their dangerous driving habits since they first met with the students last April and Wednesday was their last warning.
Law enforcement will have an increased presence around the high school for the rest of the school year. According to the Iowa State Patrol there will be no more warnings issued for traffic violations on school grounds and they will increase citations. AC/GC parents will be notified of the discussion and consequences of traffic violations.
The Iowa State Patrol’s main goal is to modify the student’s driving habits to be better motorists when on the roadway.
