The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team took the court again Tuesday night for their first game in the postseason in the Region 7 Quarterfinal and put together a good victory that has them moving on.
The Panthers girls were able to get their first game at home against the Interstate 35 Roadrunners Tuesday night and were able to come away with a 61-26 victory. With the Tuesday night victory the Panthers girls are now moving on to the Region 7 Semifinal matchup.
In the game against the Roadrunners Tuesday night there were plenty of good performances including 19 points from Payton Beckman, 11 points from Laci Rishel, 11 points from Angel Poldberg and 11 points from Jaidyn Sellers as the night saw four Panthers girls score double digit points.
The Panthers girls will be facing off against the Central Decatur Cardinals beginning at 7 p.m. Friday night for the semifinal matchup and the game will be played at Panorama High School. The Central Decatur Cardinals finished their regular season with an overall record of 14-8 and were third overall in the Pride of Iowa standings when the regular season came to a close.
The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team will continue their postseason run with the Region 7 Semifinal game on Friday beginning at 7 p.m. at Panorama High School. The winner of the game will go on to face the winner of the other semifinal matchup between the Nodaway Valley Wolverines and Earlham Cardinals in the regional final matchup being held on February 23rd.
