Greene County residents are encouraged to attend a public meeting regarding hunting.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting a town hall-style meeting to review the recent hunting and trapping seasons and discuss possible changes to hunting and trapping rules and regulations. The meeting will be on February 22nd at 6:30pm at the Milwaukee Depot in Jefferson.
The DNR will answer questions and collect feedback from attendees when it considers changing its rules and regulations for hunting. The DNR will also accept comments from the public anytime and any proposed rule changes will go before the National Resource Commission during a regular public meeting for consideration where additional public comments can be made.
The February 22nd meeting is free and open to the public.
